Educators

A centered row of educator cards — portrait photo alongside name and bio — that wraps into two columns on tablet and wider. Content comes from an educator metaobject list (connectable via dynamic source for per-product binding) or from manual Educator Card theme blocks. Both sources can render together; metaobject entries appear first, followed by any blocks.

When exactly one educator is displayed (from either source), the section swaps to a singular title override so the heading reads naturally for a single person.

Setting What it does
Section ID Optional anchor for jump links.
Title (singular) Replaces the title block text when exactly one educator is shown. Leave blank to use the block title regardless of count.
Educators A metaobject_list of educator entries. Connect via dynamic source on PDP to pull from nama.product_educators.
Padding top / bottom Default 48/64/80px each.

Static blocks:

  • Title — the section heading. Automatically replaced by the singular title setting when only one educator is present.

Repeatable:

  • Educator Card — portrait image, name, and bio text. Renders identically to metaobject entries.

The section hides when neither a metaobject list nor any educator card blocks have content. There is no empty state — no heading, no spacing. On product pages this means you can add the section to the template once and it only appears for products whose educators metafield is populated.

Product pages (via nama.product_educators dynamic source) and any page needing to feature expert profiles.

  • Use the metaobject for product pages. Each product gets its own educator set via the metafield, and the section disappears cleanly for products without any.
  • Use blocks for standalone pages (about, landing pages) where the content doesn’t need to vary per product.
  • Set the singular title. “Meet Your Educator” reads much better than “Meet Your Educators” when there’s only one card on the page.
  • Keep bios short. Two to three sentences max — the card layout doesn’t have room for essays, and long text pushes the row off balance.
