Title

The title block renders a heading element (h1 through h6) with full control over typography size at each breakpoint, text alignment, font family, and color. It is the single most reused block in the theme – nearly every section that displays text content includes a title, either as a theme block or a static block with params passed in from the section.

Setting What it does
Block ID Anchor ID for in-page linking. Must be unique and handleized.
Title The heading text. Supports inline rich text and // for manual line breaks.
Heading Level Semantic HTML tag (h1–h6). Defaults to h2.
Font family Typeface override – serif, sans, or inherit from the parent section.
Mobile style Typography size on small screens. Grouped into Headings, Body Text, and Quotes.
Tablet style Typography size on tablet screens. Defaults to following the mobile style.
Desktop style Typography size on large screens. Defaults to following the tablet style.
Mobile alignment Text alignment on small screens (left, center, right, or none).
Desktop alignment Text alignment on large screens. Falls back to the mobile value when set to “None.”
Text Color Override Optional color that overrides the inherited color scheme.

This block appears in nearly every content section, both as a theme block and as a static block. A partial list:

  • The responsive typography system cascades upward: if you set a mobile style but leave tablet and desktop as “Default,” those larger breakpoints inherit the mobile value automatically.
  • Use // inside the title text to force a line break at a specific point without needing a separate block.
  • When a section renders this block statically, it can pass a fallback_title that shows when no title text is set – useful for dynamic pages like PDP where the product name fills in automatically.
